There was a time when a playboy’s chosen mode of transport would have been a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Not so for Playboy magazine founder and owner Hugh Hefner, the epitome of the playboy in the 1950s-1970s. These days he is quite happy to be snapped by the paparazzi trundling around on a mobility scooter.
Hugh Hefner at the ripe old age of 87 years spent a day at Disneyland, California with his wife, Playboy Bunny Crystal Harris, who is 60 years his junior. They opted for mobility scooters rather than the rides!! And they were more than happy to pose for pictures on their twin mobility scooters. Hugh Hefner has become something of a figure of ridicule by the media in recent years, but the reality is that time has caught up with the ageing Lothario and the only way he can keep up with his Playboy Bunny wife is through the use of a mobility scooter.
However there is a serious point to be made though. If you take Hugh Hefner and his faintly ridiculous lifestyle out of the equation, what we have here is an octogenarian able to enjoy Disneyland, along with families and young children, courtesy of the mobility scooter. The mobility scooter is a liberator for millions of elderly, infirm and disabled people across the world.
